Certified Home Health Aides/CNA’s

ELDER ACHIEVERS hires Certified Home Health Aides who have Massachusetts Red Cross Certification. They have either graduated from a Red Cross Training Program, or a Department of Public Health certified program offered by a college or vocational school. Some may also have dual certification as Certified Nursing Assistants, working under Professional Nursing supervision. CNA’s also have to be on the state CNA registry in addition to certification.

Home Health Aides can provide basic health-related services, such as checking a patient’s temperature, heart rate and blood pressure. Light housekeeping tasks such as grocery shopping, laundry and cooking meals are also part of their job responsibility, as is companionship. When they provide Self Administration Medication Assistance, we require that they be MAP certified, another Red Cross program. While the MAP program is targeted at group residences and nursing homes, successful certification assures that ELDER ACHIEVERS associates involved in Self Administration Medication Assistance are knowledgeable of proper documentation procedure, as well as primed to spot medication side effects.

As with all our staff, they are fully vetted, bonded and insured. Moreover, ELDER ACHIEVERS values intangibles such as respect, compassion, and caring when considering applicants.
